Encino Public Library Mondays

Weekly at 1pm

Encino Creek neighborhood, residential location.  Classes are outside in shaded and scenic private yard, weather permitting.

Saturday Tai Chi includes warm-up,  stretches, Qigong meditation in motion, breath-work, practice of the Yang 24 movement short form, and self defense applications of the form that vary weekly.

Saturday Self-Defense includes warm-up, stretches, and self defense techniques proven effective against a wide range of attacks from various martial arts, military and police training.

Self-Defense Workshops-  TBD

Women's Self-Defense

Workshops cover the basics of self-defense to give a foundation of essential movements to escape from grabs & holds, headlocks and chokes and to evade punches and other strikes,  and attacks using blades, clubs, and firearms, including simple disarming techniques.  Emphasis will be placed on simple techniques that can be employed effectively against larger assailants.
